Accomodation

Living in university accommodation is a great way to get to know people when you first come to the Czech Republic! Housing at Charles University dormitories can be arranged on request, but at extra cost. Students who prefer to live in private accommodation are free to do so, but FSV UK cannot arrange this.

Students are housed in double-occupancy rooms with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. Unfortunately, single rooms are not available. All dormitories ("kolej" in Czech) provide bedding (pillow, duvet and sheets, changed regularly).  Most also have laundry facilities. Dormitories are assigned automatically by the University. We regret it is not possible for students to choose their dorm.

To check-in you will need:

  1. Your passport or EU ID card

  2. Housing voucher

  3. One photograph

Students who arrive after office hours will be housed for the night and register the next day.
